Beverley Town CC 3rd XI were beaten at home by Kirkella in the East Yorkshire Alliance Premier at the Norwood Recreation Ground.
Beverley batted first setting a target of 134 for the visitors, skipper Keiran O’Brian once again failed to score a run, he lasted just three balls.
Kevin Thompson scored 68 for Beverley and looked in good touch, though others within the team were not able to stay with him in the middle.
Beverley did their best to fight back blasting through the opening order of Kirkella. Matt Novis continued to show his class, the young spinner picking up 3 wickets, O’Brian claiming the other 3 wickets.
However the lack of runs proved to be Beverley’s downfall downfall.
