The blistering heat did not stop the Beverley Braves commanding field possession right from the first whistle. The ball was passed well and an early try followed to raise the confidence straight away. The lads (and lass) played with guts today and controlled the game all the way through with only a short lapse in concentration to allow Holderness Vikings to score a couple of tries.
The sun drained the Vikings in the second half and Beverley capitalised scoring a couple more tries in quick succession. The defence held strong and with each tackle pushed Holderness closer to their own line and pressure forced the errors allowing Beverley in for yet more scores. By far the best game of the season so far – a great team effort. Final Score – Beverley Braves 24 – 10 Holderness Vikings.
