Beverley Town Bowls Club has every reason to celebrate after their men’s team who play in the Humberside Evening EBA won the title and promotion.
Members of the Beverley Ladies Circle spent an evening at Flemmingate Bowls Club. The Ladies Circle were invited to the club by June Hutton and they were given the chance to have a few games of bowls.
Beverley Town Bowling Club said the 2013 Whistle Stop Bowls Contest was the best one yet. The weekend saw 32 teams travel from as far away as Grimsby to take part in the competition held at the Norwood Recreation Ground.
On a wonderful warm evening Beverley Town Bowls Club Pairs entertained Little Weighton A team at the Norwood Recreation Ground. The green was in superb condition but the result was not in Beverley’s favour losing 69 shots to 91.
Beverley Town Bowling Club hosted their 26th Whistle Stop bowling event at the Norwood Recreation Ground on Sunday. Competitors from around Yorkshire took part in quick-fire version of the traditional game of lawn bowls. The event was very well attended by players from around the region and was a colourful spectacle, made all that much better by some brilliant British summer weather.

There will be a taster session of gentle activities on Monday, 1 July at St Nicholas Community Hall, Holme Church Lane, Beverley.
Beverley Town Tennis Club won £1,000 in the Tesco Bags of Help scheme, money they say will be used to help resurface a court.
During the months of January and February customers at the Tesco on Morton Lane voted for the club and their project.

A well liked and respected man in Beverley, Tommy Anderson has sadly passed away at the age of 90 years old.
Tommy, who was originally for the North East of England had been living in Beverley for 60 years, during which he became a well known and a much liked member of the community.
