New PB For Claire Traynor In Jane Tomlinson Hull 10k

Hull played host to the second Hull 10k road race last Sunday.  One of a series of Run for All events in Yorkshire organised by the Jane Tomlinson Appeal, the race attracted a field of over 3000 people, most of them running to raise money for charity.

A small group of athletes from also took part, some running as members of corporate teams, some running for charity and others in club colours.  All enjoyed the great atmosphere of a big event with thousands of spectators cheering them around the city centre course.

The first member to finish was Aubrey Morrell in seventh place in 35:59. was next in 38:34 in twentieth position and four minutes faster than last year.

(pictured above) was delighted to record a new personal best, crossing the finishing line in 43:33.  She was sixth lady overall and fourth in the open category.

Having run four marathons in four weeks enjoyed running a much shorter race and also recorded a new personal best beating his previous best time for this distance by three seconds.

, and Jörg Hardege all improved on last year’s times finishing two, three and six minutes faster respectively.

There were 3707 finishers and the race was won by Joshua Rowe of Kingston-upon-Hull AC in 34:32.  The first lady to finish was Elaine Storey of City of Hull in 39:03.
