New Pure Broadband managing director Tony Jopling has revealed that he’s hoping the company will double its growth over the next three years under his lead.

Tony is stepping up from the role of the chief operating officer at the Hull-based ultrafast broadband provider to take on a more strategic approach as the company continues on its upward trajectory.

He said:

“I’m really excited to be taking Pure Broadband forward as managing director. We’ve gone through a period of growth and change in recent years. From being a ‘traditional’ wireless network provider we have become a true fibre internet service provider using the latest , all while offering great customer service.

“Our future plan is simple – to double our revenue growth in the next three years. It sounds ambitious but we’ve seen good growth and, with the help of our fantastic team, we are confident we can continue that. To get to that point we’ll first be looking to grow the reach of customers while working with our national partners and, secondly, by becoming a true alternative service provider in Hull by keeping it pure and simple – just as it says on the tin.”

Tony, who was born and raised in Hull, has spent more than two decades working in the telecoms industry, including leading the consumer and business service centres at KCOM and had previously spent 10 years in the finance sector with NatWest Bank and GE Capital.

The news of Tony’s appointment as managing director comes shortly after Sally Kirkwood was announced as the new service operations manager at Pure Broadband – highlighting the real strength of the firm as it continues to expand.

Tony added: “We have a fantastic team who work really hard to deliver an exceptional customer experience. A lot of them have been with the business from the start and are really passionate about what we are trying to achieve.

“It’s been a busy year for us, we have moved into new offices, started our rollout plans across nine Yorkshire cities with City Fibre, expanding into towns in East Yorkshire, we’re launching a new website this autumn, have invested in technology and our people, and recruited a number of local people – including Sally – to support our growth.

“It really is an exciting time for everyone at Pure Broadband and I cannot wait to take the business to the next level.”
