Local housebuilder Barratt Developments Yorkshire East is continuing to support NHS workers in Hull by extending their NHS Deposit Scheme until June 2021.

The move follows the popularity and success of the NHS Deposit Scheme, which has so far benefited 39 key workers in Hull, 26 of which were first-time buyers.

Since May, Barratt Developments Yorkshire East has directly contributed £465k to those in Hull using the scheme, with more funding now committed to further deposit contributions.

The NHS Deposit Scheme was launched by the housebuilder in May, to support NHS employees during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and sees the housebuilder offer buyers a 5% contribution towards their deposit, up to £15,000.

With the scheme originally due to end in December, the housebuilder has taken the decision to extend it until June in order to benefit as many buyers from across the region as possible.

Managing Director of Barratt Developments Yorkshire East, Daniel Smith said:

“We are incredibly proud of the NHS workers across the region and we are so pleased to be able to support them in this way. We can’t wait to welcome them to our developments to help them find their forever homes.”

Barratt Developments has also extended the Armed Forces Contribution Scheme, which sees the housebuilder offer UK military servicemen and women a 5% contribution towards their deposit, up to £15,000. Customers choosing to use either the NHS Deposit Scheme or Armed Forces Contribution Scheme must legally complete on or before the end of June 2021 to be eligible.

Barratt Developments Yorkshire East has a number of offers available at a wide range of developments across Yorkshire.

These include Queens Court in Tranby Fields and Hesslewood Park in Hessle, Harland Park and Poppy Fields in Cottingham and Harrier Chase in Brough.
