There has been a number of fundraising activities held by people during the lockdown period. While in Beverley local businesses are looking to raise money to fund a special thank you bench.

Leanne Marshall, Director of Hunters Estate Agents in association with the Beverley Chamber of Trade is leading the funding appeal for the bench.

They are hoping to raise enough cash to make the purchase it as thank you to local hospital staff and care workers. It will be a token from the community to show their thanks for their efforts in these trying times.

Those who make a donation will also get to add a short personal message to the bench which will be installed at the Casthill Hospital. Donations can be made online at https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/leanne-marshall19
