East Riding Libraries are encouraging families across the region to celebrate the bedtime story and reading together.

They want families to join them in this year’s Pyjamarama, an event organised by the that takes place on Friday 1 May.

Pyjamarama was due to be held in schools in June. However, as a result of the current situation, the event has been moved as most children are at home.

It will be a day that families across the area can join in a festival of story-filled fun at home.

East Riding Libraries say that there will be plenty of activities and events for children to take part in. However, the only requirement is that they are done in pyjamas.

To make things even more fun, PJ Masks, Horrid Henry and Tracy Beaker will be on board.

They will be helping out and providing extra ideas and activities for a brilliant day in pyjamas on Friday, 1 May.

East Riding Libraries will add to the fun by posting ‘Did you Know’ facts throughout the day on their social media.
