The agency will be hosting an event in their local office where people can find out more about what is involved with being a foster carer.
Orange Grove Fostercare will open their doors from 4:00 pm to 7:30 pm on Wednesday 18 March. The event will be a ‘Meet and Greet’ session at their office, located on Second Floor, Rear Office, Reed House, Annie Reed Road, Beverley.
Guests will be able to pop in and speak to the Orange Grove Yorkshire Registered Manager. While they will also be able to meet current foster carers.
Those who attend will gain an insight into the life of a foster carer, gather information and also ask any questions they may have.
As of 31 March 2018, 53,040 children were in care according to Ofsted. This is an increase of over 1,000 when compared to the 2017 figures. As a result, more foster carers than ever are needed to care for these vulnerable children.
Agency Hopes To Educate People About The Benefits of Fostering
Orange Grove Registered Manager, Craig Clark said;
“With the need consistently increasing for more foster carers, we want to invite those who have been considering it to join us and answer any questions they may have.”
“Many don’t realise that fostering is a paid, professional role and that they’ll receive support every step of the way.”
“Our foster carers will also be on-hand to share their experiences with fostering. They will give an honest insight into their lives. Children of all ages are in need of love and also care. So we ask that anyone interested in becoming a vital pillar of support join us and find out more.”
Orange Grove is an independent fostering agency. The organisation currently takes care of around 400 children across the South East, Midlands, North West and Yorkshire.
