Small Business Saturday is the day we are all encouraged to back our local businesses.

A national incentive, people are asked to visit and back their independent retailers, pubs, shops and other businesses.

One business in Beverley, will lead the charge in the town. They were selected as one of just 100 firms to trailblaze the day.

Fit4Dogs is a rehabilitation centre for fun and fitness for dogs. Based on Annie Reed Road the firm has state of the art hydrotherapy equipment.

Using a purpose-built swimming pool and underwater treadmill they are helping local pet owners get their dogs into tip-top condition.

It was founded by Mike and Kirsty Skeats just over a year ago in October 2018. Furthermore, Graham says in all his time he has never seen a business like Fit4Dogs.

Taking place on Saturday 7 December, the incentive is also backed by Graham Stuart.

He has always been a keen supporter of Small Business Saturday and is urging people to get out there and support their high street.

He also adds that it is ventures like this that are at the heart of the British economy.
