Graham Stuart, MP for Beverley and Holderness, and founder of the CADEY campaign welcomed Esh Construction to Parliament.

They were there to discuss its potential involvement in providing defibrillators around the constituency.

The Queen’s Award-winning construction firm’s ‘Constructing Local’ strategy is predicated on supporting local communities.

This is done through improving education, providing opportunities, buying local, and most pertinently supporting community programmes that have a direct effect on those near to their construction sites.

Graham said;

“It was great to meet up with Ross Markwell and Stephen Wilkie of Esh Construction’s Civils division to discuss how we could work together to help achieve CADEY’s aim – to achieve full coverage of defibrillators throughout the communities of Beverley and Holderness.

“We need to see these life-saving devices in every village and hamlet. Every second counts when trying to save the life of someone in cardiac arrest and the more seconds we can shave off the time it takes to get a defibrillator on someone raises the likelihood that we can save their life.

“Esh has an outstanding commitment to social responsibility and does excellent work funding and supporting community projects. Ross and Stephen are enthusiastic about CADEY’s potential and I’m excited at the prospect of working with them.”

Stephen Wilkie, executive director of Esh Group said:

“We look forward to exploring ways of working together with Graham and CADEY, our continues to invest in our social value programme, we have the ability to support initiatives which make a real difference in the areas Esh Construction operates – CADEY is a great initiative, is of great interest and we discussed a number of ways of supporting the campaign going forward.”
