Mega Fun Play Centre in Beverley has been acknowledged as one of the best in its field in the UK.
An independent business, the 12,000 sq ft claimed third place in the Play Centre of Year Awards. It was also ranked fourth overall in the Food and Beverage category.
Owners Gail and Ken Lunn say they are thrilled to have clinched the two awards at the British Association of Leisure Parks Piers and Attractions.
Speaking to HU17.net Ken said;
“We were up against some fierce competition from play centres across the UK. When we entered we were only hoping to reach the final but were thrilled to learn we had finished third.”
“We are very passionate about our business, we work almost every day of the week. Our aim is to provide a fun and safe place for children to play. It is also important to us that we create an enjoyable and relaxing environment for the parents.”
Mega Fun Play Centre has set high standards in all areas of their business. They excel at customer service while the food and beverage they sell is very high quality.
Safety and cleanliness is also key to the couple, something that is appreciated by their customers who describe Mega Fun Play Centre as a family-friendly environment.
The national awards won are a testament to those high standards something they are rightly very proud of.
Mega Fun Play Owners Thrilled With Result
“Mega Fun is one of the largest indoor play centres in East Yorkshire. We cater for children from babies up to 12 years old.”
“We were up against some fierce competition from play centres across the UK, so we’re thrilled to finish third. The winning play centre is based in Cheshire while second place went to one near Edinburgh.”
“In addition to this award, we were also highly commended and came fourth in the Food and Beverage category.”
“This was for play centres and larger attractions from all around the UK, so to be awarded a fourth place in the UK is a tremendous achievement.”
Mega Fun Play Centre Praised By Judges For Consistency
Judges who made the final decisions did so following a gruelling process. This included feedback from mystery shoppers who gained first-hand experience of the play centres.
Feedback from those judges was very positive. They described Mega Fun as a happy place to work and a fun place to play while parsing the business on giving all a consistent and high-quality experience.
The couples attention to detail and desire to provide the experience possible led them to opening Mega Fun on the Grovehill Industrial Estate in 2011.
Alongside the awarding winning play centre, Mega Fun is home to a Gymnastics club that has almost 500 members.
Ken says they will look to enter next year’s competition and while they face stiff opposition will be hoping to become overall winners.
