Multi-award winning documentary maker Reggie Yates will help students at an East Yorkshire College celebrate completing their studies.

Critically acclaimed Reggie, whose documentaries include the Extreme series shown on Netflix, will be the special guest at ’s annual presentation day event.

The event, held at the college’s campus near Beverley, celebrates the achievements of further education students who have successfully completed their courses and will be attended by more than 2,000 people.

Former BBC Radio 1 DJ Reggie, whose earlier career roles include in Doctor Who and the CBeebies show, Rastamouse, will present certificates to all the students, as well as trophies to award winners at the event, on Friday, 6th July.

He will also talk to all the students and guests about his highly successful and varied career.

Acting Chief Executive and Principal, Bill Meredith, said; “I’m delighted that someone of Reggie Yates’ profile will be a part of the event.

“I’m sure the students will be able to relate to him and will benefit from hearing how he has forged such a highly successful career – something they will all be aiming to do when they leave college.”

Bishop Burton College runs both further education courses and degree programmes. It specialises in agriculture, animal management, equine and sport but also runs courses in many other subjects including floristry, art, design and fashion, and public services.
