Seasons In the Sun written by John Godber who was recently awarded with an O.B.E first premiered in Hull in the year 2000.

This hilarious coming of age production is full of ripe Yorkshire life and language and is one not to be missed!

It tells the tale of two eighteen year olds, Paul and Spag, as they await their A level results during the summer of 1974 on a dustbin depot deep in the heart of Gods own county.

The play will be directed by John Godber whilst the cast features BBC All Quiet on the Preston Front and Up n Under film star, Dave MacCreedy, and the hilarious Adrian Hood, who recently stared in the RCS’s The Hypocrite (Hull Truck Theatre), and has worked at the National Theatre, The Globe and The Royal Court.

They are joined by a host of Yorkshire talent, including The Kings of Hull (Hull New Theatre) star Jake Marsden, and local actor Matt Galloway, in his first professional role, as they recreate the rites of passage trials and tribulations, as these two aspiring artists collide with the hard realities of the men on the bins.

BAFTA scholarship winner Sade Malone will also be starring in ’Seasons in the Sun’ Sade has had four years television experience as a series regular in the kids BAFTA nominated show ‘The 4’O clock club’ where she played the character ‘Agness Adoo’.

Other roles also include ‘Chloe’ In ‘The bee mask’ directed by Dominic Brunt. Finally, also joining the cast will be Martha Godber who is currently studying at the Institute for Performing Arts.

Regarded by many as Godber’s funniest play, this production will have you in stitches as our heroes grapple with man holes, pot holes and dodgy sewage pipes. Come and join Paul and Spag as they learn that great art comes from the strangest places as they enlist on a summer job that they will never forget!

The show plays at the in Beverley from 24th April – 19th May as continues its relationship with the East Riding Theatre, and a promise to use local actors.
