Leading equine experts from across Yorkshire are hooking up at a charity fundraising evening at the Conference Centre at Beverley Racecourse next week.

Coinciding with National Safety Day, the inaugural Yorkshire Horse & Rider Safety Event will feature presentations from experts in different disciplines that impact on horse welfare and how a horse will perform in public.

Jonathan Holmes, at Lordington Park Agronomy specialises in equine grassland management and can help ensure your horse gets all the essential nutrients it needs.

Commenting on the event he said;

“Anyone who owns a horse or has an interest in horse welfare will find this evening beneficial.”

“There will be short lectures then a “dismounted workshop” to meet some experts who can help with horse and rider health and wellbeing.”

“ Beverley is an ideal central location, and the racecourse is a great venue. We hope to raise money for Mark Davies Injured Riders charity while sharing best practice.”

Guests on the night from the industry include Cathryn Godfrey an Associate Solicitor at Irwin Mitchell Solicitors, Heather Bennet, a former international Show Jumper, James Cooling, a qualified Bitting Consultant.

Doors open at 6.15PM for the event that takes place on Monday 26 March at from 7.30PM.Tickets cost £10 with a 50p online booking fee.

All money raised through ticket sales and a prize raffle will be donated to the Mark Davies Injured Riders Fund – a charity which raises awareness of issues affecting equestrians of all levels.
