The award winning Beverley Food Festival has been nominated for the Remarkable Tourism Event for over 30,000 visitors, While The Pig & Whistle has been shortlisted in the Remarkable Newcomer and Remarkable Restaurant categories.
Taking place in Hull at the Double Tree by Hilton Hotel, other nominations from Beverley include Beverley & East Riding Early Music Festival, Lambing Sunday, Kavanaghs Cafe & Tea Rooms, T C Patisserie, Lempicka Cafe, Butt Farm Caravan & Campsite, and the White Rabbit Chocolatiers.
Speaking ahead of the event, Andy Gray, VHEY’s tourism manager, said;
“This will be a truly memorable occasion. We’re delighted to be back in Hull and delighted to report a record number of entries from Hull businesses as well.”

Winners of this year’s REYTAs, that will be hosted by Phil White, of Radio Humberside, assisted by Kofi Smiles, will also be eligible to be considered for the 2019 VisitEngland awards for excellence.
East Riding of Yorkshire Council say, the event, which is in ninth year, are a celebration of all that is good in the area recognising the hard work, talent and dedication of those who work in an important industry.
