Business owner, Lucie Mountain

On hand to greet guests were some lovely ‘trolley dollies’  complete with their vintage styled air hostess uniforms, while behind the bar the guys looked equally as dapper in their aviation gear.

Entertainment on the night was provided by a remarkable talent called Paula Marie, a singer based out of Selby.  Her music fitted perfectly with the owners vision of taking people back to the glamorous 50s.

Lucie says she is looking to bring a unique experience to Beverley and all her work seems to have paid off with a great deal of effort going into the smallest details.

Those who are familiar with the venue will be in for a real treat. The Cockpit Café has been given face lift which has seen the introduction of some private booths, while it is decked in aviation memorabilia.

Simple things like the glasses are throw back to the past, as are the various other bits of furnishings and decorations that are tastefully dotted around the place.

For Beverley, The Cockpit Café is welcome addition to Wednesday Market and is certainly the sort of place will want to visit and for those who like ‘vintage’ then this certainly is the place for you.

Lucie has also said will be holding regular live entertainment, again all themed around the 1950s, a time she says was when Air Travel was at its luxurious best.

Is The Cockpit Café set to saw high and be huge success, only time will tell, though  if Thursday was anything to go by then yes,  it is ‘Boeing’ to be a place people will enjoy.
