Beverley and Holderness MP, Graham Stuart, praised Modular Building Manufacturers Paragon Space as he visited the local business at their Burstwick site. The small company, which employs 11 members of staff, have recently won a five-year hire contract with the NHS to provide temporary consultant rooms for Weybridge Hospital.

Paragon Space have been operating in Burstwick for three years and, having built up from scratch, now design, manufacture and install modular buildings for clients across the UK.

In addition to the new NHS contract, Paragon also provide high-quality workplaces for a range of schools and businesses. Their Managing Director, Gareth Foster, thanked Graham for his continuing support of small businesses in the area.

Following his visit, said: “I was delighted to see a real local business success story. Gareth and his team are producing wonderful pre-fabricated buildings that cater for everyone from school pupils to NHS patients.

“It is fantastic to hear that the business is continuing to grow, with the successful bid for a five-year hire contract with Weybridge Hospital, and shows that East Yorkshire remains a great place to do business. The Government continues to support local firms and is getting a record number of people into work.

“The number of claimants for unemployment benefits in Beverley and Holderness is currently 58% lower than the level inherited from the Labour Government in 2010, and I am glad that local enterprises such as Paragon Space are helping the current Government to further reduce these numbers.”

Gareth Foster said: “We were delighted to welcome Graham to our Burstwick site and show him how our products are designed and manufactured. Paragon Space is a small but growing business and we have ambitions to expand our operation in the coming years.

“It is great to see that our local MP is so supportive of small businesses, and I look forward to continue working with Graham to ensure that East Yorkshire remains an attractive place to do business.”
