Beverley Town Juniors were celebrating after they came out on top in the local derby with comprehensive 10-2 win over neighbours Mill Lane United.

Playing at Longcroft School, both sides started well in the Hull Boys Sunday Football League clash.

Town however were to prove too strong for United as they took a four goal advantage into the break.

The second period saw Town continue to show their dominance as Town added a further six goals while United showed great heart as they scored twice late on.

Speaking after the match, Town’s manager Craig Darley said;

“It was a complete performance from front to back by the entire team.  There was 14 ‘man of the match’ performances out there.

“Hopefully we can be consistent and do the same next week away in the cup.”
