Kimberella is reported in top form ahead of his big day in the totescoop6 Beverley Bullet (3.15pm) on Saturday.

The iron-willed seven-year-old has been in fantastic nick since his transfer to Richard Fahey’s yard in Malton, and now takes aim at Beverley’s valuable Listed race over five furlongs.

Kimberella won the Queensferry Stakes at Chester on his penultimate outing, but he is on something of a retrieval mission, having been unplaced behind Washington DC in the Phoneix Sprint Stakes at the Curragh three weeks ago.

Fahey said: “He’s a pretty tough and genuine horse and he’s been on the go for a while.

“But he seems in great order and we’re very happy with him.”

The Musley Bank handler is also represented by The Wagon Wheel, who cut no ice in a Listed race at Pontefract, won by her stablemate Queen Kindly, on her latest start.

“We’re trying to get some black type for her,” said Fahey.

“She’s got bit of black type already and we want to get a bit more.

“She’s in really good form, but it’s just that it’s such a competitive race.”

Clive Cox is hoping Go On Go On Go On can make up for lost time in the £50,000 totescoop6 Beverley Bullet, having had just the one race so far this year.

That came when she was unplaced in the Cecil Frail Stakes at Haydock in May, but last season she had looked most progressive when winning three races on the spin.

Cox said:

“She did really well for us when winning some nice races last year.

“We had a hold-up with her in the spring, unfortunately, but she’s in good form and I think she’s worthy of her place in a Listed race.

“It’s great prize-money and it looks a good race, but hopefully the track will suit her and she’ll run well.”
