Hull will soon be joining the likes of London, Edinburgh and Bath as a brand new city tour bus is announced.

The Hull Explorer will be an open top bus which will take visitors on a tour around the city centre’s most fascinating sights. Calling at the Cenotaph, Queen Victoria Square, the Wilberforce Monument, Old Town, the Quarter, Hull Minster/Trinity Square, The Deep and the Marina, a tour guide will tell the story of the city, giving a fascinating insight into Hull, past and present.

The tour bus, run by local bus company EYMS, will have six journeys a day on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays all summer, from 22 July until 3 September.

At only £8 for an adult day ticket, or £21 for a family day ticket, the bus is great value for visitors on a day out in Hull, or for locals who want to find out more about their city, with the full tour lasting around an hour and a half.

, Director of Hull 2017, said: “Hull City Centre boasts some wonderful sights and fantastic architecture and really deserves an open-top bus tour. It’s great that EYMS are going to be providing this service so that visitors can explore the city like never before. It’s also a chance for people who have lived in Hull all their lives to be able to experience their city in a new way.”

There’s no need to book in advance for the bus, simply buy a ticket from the driver when you board, or purchase a ticket from the EYMS Buses app.

Bus times and stops can be found by picking up a leaflet from Hull Travel Centre in the Interchange or local Tourist Information Centres, visiting www.eyms.co.uk or ringing BusLine on 01482 59 29 29, or come and see the bus in the city centre on Saturday 15 July to find out more.
