who organised the Paul Fleming Golf Day says the event was a huge success with as over 170 golfers turned out to support the fund-raising event.

Held at & East Riding golf Club superb weather blessed what turned out to be a fantastic event as the local business and golfing community came together to raise funds for Kirsty Fleming and her two children.

Speaking about the golf day, Kirsty said;

“It has been a lovely day. The support has been great. Everyone has been so generous with the Prizes and coming down showing their support to us as a family.”

“We could not have asked for a better day. Paul was obviously there bringing the weather to us, every really seemed to have enjoyed themselves, and it went really smoothly.”

Commenting on the half-way house where players taking part were treated to a cold beer and bite to eat Kirsty said;

“Helen, Joanne and myself were running it. It was so well organised credit must go to Gareth and Jo the players seemed to really enjoy their beer and snack at the half-way house.”

A sun burnt freckle covered and exhausted Gareth expressed his gratitude to those who took part, he said;

“In all on the day we had 43 teams with 172 players and we raised over £5,000 from the event. I want to thank each and every one of them for taking part.”

“There were plenty of non golfers as well as non golfers and they all had a good day. They all knew what it was for, a special kid, that is why they came.”

When asked how his own team performed he said;

“We did not do too well. We were like West Ham United – never going to win anything but were never going to go down!”
