**Zara Larsson Makes Big Weekender An Event To Remember**

Tom Astell has thanked the BBC for making his Big Weekend an event to remember following a conversation with singer Zara Larsson and presenter Scott Mills.

The encounter came about at BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend which took place at Burton Constable Hall and saw thousands of people enjoy a weekend of top music entertainment.

Zara Larson was live performing at the event. She asked the guys if they had watched her show and what they thought of her before inviting the pair backstage!

When invited the pair were left god smacked but took the star up on her offer to go back stage and meet her and Scott Mills in person.

Tom and his partner Alex Moor got the shock of their lives when they picked up a phone at the event, explaining more Tom said;

“We went up to the phone box and went in it. Nothing happened, then some guys from the BBC came out of a door next to it, and they said would we wait for it to ring.”

“We waited and then when it started ringing I ran up to it, picked up the phone and Zara Larsson was on the other end and then Zara and Scott Mills popped up on the screen.”

“We chatted on the phone for a while, and she asked us if we wanted to go backstage and of course we said yes!”

“Then we went backstage, got to meet had photos and got our lanyard signed and talked with her and Scott for a while.”

“It was the most amazing time we’ve experience and are so thankful for the BBC and everyone involved in making it a weekend to remember.”

Tom and Alex are enjoying their bit of stardom after BBC Radio 1 posted the video on their call in the phone box to their YouTube Channel.
