The blue and golds will return to action this Wednesday evening with a rescheduled fixture away to North Hull Knights (kick off 7pm) at Shaw Park.

Beverley will be looking to avenge a narrow 16-15 home defeat to the same side in the 40/20 cup earlier in the season. A similarly tight affair is anticipated against their local rivals from just down the road.

Hot on the heals of this they will visit Nottingham Outlaws on the following Saturday (kick off 3pm tbc) at Highfields.

The Midlands side formed in only 1999 by former players of Nottingham Trent University are something of an unknown quantity having only joined the Yorkshire Men’s League this season having previously played in the Midlands League and Conference League South.

Hull cannot be taken lightly as they have posted notable victories against Bentley and Doncaster Toll Bar despite also being on the wrong end of some heavy defeats so far in the campaign.

Two games in the space of four days will no doubt prompt some squad rotation by and Pat Howdle.
