A Country Themed night at Armstrongs Social Club raised over £100 which will go towards the club’s charities.

A packed out venue saw take to the floor and enjoy a night of live music and line dancing.

Speaking about the event, Sally Ann-Rena who is the manager at Armstrongs Social Club said;

“It was a truly great night. The event was well supported and lots of people turned up to give line dancing a try.”

“Myself and Hilary Usher who organised the event were thrilled with the attendance and enthusiasm of the dancers.”

“The live music was provided by Dave & Di (Sundown Duo) providing us with fantastic country sounds throughout the evening . A charity raffle was also held which raised £117 for our charities.”

“After this event it brings the club’s total very close to the £1000 mark for this year which is in aid of the Alzheimer’s Society.”

“If anyone would like to join us and is interested in a beginners line dancing class on a weekday afternoon, we are thinking of putting another class on to cope with the demand.”
