‘Dance Transports’ With TC Howard Coming To Bridlington Spa

Later this month, Bridlington Spa will play host to a two-day workshop for dance professionals, the first of five taking place across Yorkshire before the end of March.

This is the third annual series of Dance Transports, a training programme organised by Yorkshire Dance, the dance development agency for the region.

It offers teachers, dance artists and anyone involved in the delivery of dance an opportunity to work alongside professional dance companies and gain valuable insights and training.

Around 20 participants will be able to gather to spend two days with legendary dance artist TC Howard in a workshop called ‘Relationship-Building Through Dance’.

It has been designed for professional practitioners who are keen to develop their skills and understanding of working with those who are new to dance. It will explore methods, structures and approaches that encourage a creative freedom and ability to communicate with a dance language at any level of experience and ability.

In running the workshop, TC will draw on her experience as a dance maker, performer and creative leader that has taken her across the world to work alongside street children in the third world, with disadvantaged youths in rural communities, and school children of all ages.
