Preparations for the 2017 season for the blue and golds are now well and truly underway.

 has just held its Annual General Meeting and has announced some re-structuring.

Pat Howdle will assume a new roll as Director of Rugby with player recruitment and development high on the agenda.

Scott Taylor is to be the new Head coach with Duncan O’Connor being the Assistant Coach. Dave Sherwood has stood down as Chairman but will still have some involvement with the club.

In his outgoing message he thanked the coaching staff, players and committee for playing their part in 2016 season, which was the best since the club reformed in 1999.

The new chairman will be Ronny Sharp who brings experience to the table of running amateur rugby league clubs in the Bradford area.

Early in the new year the club will unveil a new strip which will bear the logo of the Beverley Town Council and also a raft of new sponsors.

On the field, the club have entered the BARLA National Cup with the early rounds being the preliminary round (if required) 7th January, first round 28th January, 2nd round 11th February.

This will give the club another trophy to chase and at the same time act as a good pre-season workout. Fixtures for the Yorkshire League are likely to be released in February.

Furthermore, will be providing the after match hospitality and generally act as the club’s base as long as it remains at the Beverley Leisure Centre.
