Town Boss Rich Jagger Remains Upbeat Despite Dropping Points At Home

Town Football Club manager Rich Jagger says despite drawing the performance put in by his team was the best he has seen them play all season.

Rich Jagger was speaking after he watched his side draw 2-2 at home to in Humber Premier League.

Town led twice in the match but were but Rangers showed great character and sprit as they battle back to leave the .

Reflecting on the result Jagger said;

“For an hour of this game we were excellent, we created loads of chances, played some great stuff and could have gone in at half time 4-1 up. It’s probably the best I’ve seen us play this season.”

“However the last half hour we struggled to keep hold of the ball, and credit to Rangers they stayed in the game and got their rewards at the end.”

“We need to grind out a result and dig deep when the going gets tough, to be honest I thought we had done that today but it wasn’t to be.”

“If we continue to play like we did in the first hour for the rest of the season we will cause teams a lot of problems.”

Town opened the scoring inside the first 15 minutes on the game as Craig Muirhead found the back of the net. A string of missed chances was to come back and haunt Town as Tom Andrews levelled for the visitors.

Matty Littlefield restored Town’s advantage on 34 minutes as he tapped home Muirhead attempted chip that bounced back off the bar.

Muirhead went close again, headed wide and Kegan Rose shot over in a spell that caused East Riding all sorts of problems.

However despite creating chances Town simply could not find the third goal that would have sealed the win. Rangers got their reward with just 8 minutes left with Craig Dibb heading home to secure a point for the visitors.
