Any Charities Looking For A Hot Night Out?

The Monks Walk pub in Beverley plans to introduce regular charity evenings on Thursday nights under the title “Hot to Help Nights” and is offering local organisations the chance to raise money in a convivial atmosphere, with meals produced by the Chilli Kitchen of Ian Ibbetson.

Pub landlord and Chilli Devil creator Ian Ibbetson first worked together at a fund-raiser for Yorkshire Cancer Research and subsequently went into together, with Ian providing the food and some unique chilli-based menus for Monks Walk, while Neil concentrated on providing the best local beers and ciders in the finest condition – which has turned out to be a winning formula.

The new “Hot to Help Nights” will feature a choice of spicy World Food dishes from Ian’s repertoire.

“it was a very lucky day when, shortly after I’d taken over the licence, I was introduced to Ian,” said Neil Pickford. “We worked together on a fund-raiser for Yorkshire Cancer Research and it was such a successful event that we decided to collaborate on a permanent basis. Now we’d like to offer this facility to other local and worthy causes to raise funds, thank supporters and raise their profile in the community.”

Ian said:

“Chilli Devil Sauces has run a number of charity evenings in the past and we are still keen to work with larger organisations, but this I see as an opportunity to work with the smaller, most local groups and charities – anything from the local school activity club or football team to local branches of those larger bodies”

Organisations which would like to take advantage of a charity chilli night at Monks Walk should contact Neil on 07432 400 282 or Ian on 01482 961 666 to discuss details and available dates.
