The Rotary Club of Beverley is delighted to welcome back once again the eminent media presenters and Egyptologists, Professor Joann Fletcher and her partner Dr Stephen Buckley, for a fourth exciting evening of discovery: ‘More Ancient Egypt’.
Jo’s third excellent BBC four-part series Immortal Egypt with Joann Fletcher was screened in January, further enhancing her reputation as both a historian and a very watchable presenter, endowing her subject matter with real, relatable humanity (Daily Telegraph).
And in 2012, Jo and Stephen’s joint project, Mummifying Alan: Egypt’s Last Secret, received a coveted BAFTA award for Best Specialist Factual programme.
This is another unique and wonderful opportunity of actually meeting, seeing and hearing Joann Fletcher and Stephen Buckley for what is sure to be another fascinating and entertaining evening which will also include a question and answer session. All with the added charm of Jo’s warm Yorkshire wit and humour.
Taking place on the 14 October 2017 the cost including a three course dinner, specially created by Tickton Grange Hotel head chef David Nowell is £30 per head.
