Next Door Neighbourhood BBQ

Next Door Neighbourhood BBQ

On Sunday 24th of July neighbours of the and Nextdoor Neighbourhood got together for their first social event, a BBQ was held on Lowfield Road Triangle and over 40 residents turned out to share food and company, a resounding success on all accounts.

Started in June, the group is now at over 80 members, passing 50 within the first few weeks and received a £200 contribution towards community events or initiatives.

Residents of the neighbourhood enjoyed a friendly and relaxed atmosphere, with all ages in attendance from 1 to 85, children played and the conversation flowed on a wonderful and pleasant afternoon. With further events planned for the future, the barbecue was a brilliant springboard for the group to bring the community even closer together.

A small group of residents were initially responsible for organising the get together and showed great community spirit, with everyone chipping in on the day cooking, setting up and clearing away.
