Andrew & Rogers Has Good News For Migraine Sufferers

At least 8% of the adult population suffer from migraines resulting in over 4 million working days a year being lost [1] Many people who suffer migraines report bright/flashing lights or certain coloured lights aggravate and increase the frequency of their migraines.

This has been backed up with extensive research[1,2,3], and as an optometrist partner at Andrew & Rogers Optometrists, I can also report that some of the happiest patients I have are those who I have prescribed Cerium precision tints to reduce the impact of their migraines.

How does it work?

At Andrew & Rogers Optometrists in Beverley we have the latest version of an instrument called a Colorimeter[4] which allows us to design a tint for spectacles or contact lenses that exactly mimics the effect of any one of the 256,000 colours the machine can produce.

Given that most of us wear glasses for one thing or another, be it sunglasses, reading glasses or social glasses; relief from migraines with tinted glasses is drug-free, side-effect free and extraordinarily convenient.
