New Exhibition At Skidby Mill : 'Gone But Not Forgotten'

A new exhibition by the volunteer team has just opened at the windmill.

“Gone but not forgotten”, focuses on country houses in the East Riding that have wholly or partly disappeared over the years. They include Winestead Hall, Warter Priory, Londesborough Hall and Castle.

The display also examines the families who built or lived in these houses and the reasons for their eventual disappearance. “Gone but not forgotten” runs from 12 July until December 2016.

The Mill is open 10.00am to 5.00pm (closed for lunch 12.30-1.00pm, last admissions 4.15pm); Fridays last admission 3.45pm, closing at 4.30pm. Modest admission charges apply.
