You couldn’t make it up! was the title of a hilarious talk given by Mr. Philip Walker at the June meeting of the Beverley Westwood Probus Club held at Tickton Grange Hotel.
The talk, which was accompanied by a slide show of cartoons, was based upon Mr Walker’s experiences as a school teacher and was one of a series given by him and his wife in support of their daughter who is engaged on voluntary relief work in Nepal.
A retiring collection was taken and this raised some £80.00 for this cause.
Beverley Westwood Probus Club hold their next event which will be a coffee morning to be held at the Tickton Grange Hotel at 10.15 AM on Wednesday 22 June.
Their July Lunch will be held at the Tickton Grange Hotel on Wednesday 6
July at 12.00 noon for 12.30 PM when our speaker will be Mr Bill Clarke, a retired air accident investigator.
