Rich Jagger Named as New Manager at Beverley Town FC

Beverley Town Club have confirmed that Rich Jagger will take over as first team coach following the departure of .

Jagger, who played centre back enjoyed 10 years playing for Town making over 200 appearances for the club. Jagger last pulled on the sky blue shirt for Town 2011/2012 season.

In a statement released by the club they said;

“Beverley Town FC are pleased to announce that Rich Jagger will be first team coach for this coming season replacing Ross Cording who has left the club.”

“The club wish to thank Cording for his dedication and hard work during his time as first team manager.”

“Jagger is known and respected by players throughout the club and the committee believe he s the right person for the role.”

Jagger comes into the role following a successful season with where he worked with the promising youngsters at Town.

Commenting on his appointment he said;

“I am very excited to be taking on this role. We have a good set of players and a very strong squad at the club so not much tweaking is needed.”

“Over the coming weeks I will sit down with the squad and as a team we can set our self some targets. I want to know what they think they can achieve and then decide on what goals to set.”

When asked if any of the youngsters he guided to a mid table finish last season will have an opportunity to feature in the first team he said;

“Will Harrison was the Player of the Season for the Academy and also won the clubs overall Young Player of Year, he is certainly knocking on the door of the first team.”

His arrival makes him the second appointment since the departure of the highly successful who won two titles and a National Cup.
