Saturday Shoppers In Beverley Divided Over EU Referendum

Campaigners working for Labour’s continued membership of the European Union say Beverlonians are equally divided on the subject.

Over a 5 hour period on Saturday they spoke to hundreds of voters both locals and visitor to the town.

Labour’s Spokesman said;

“Over a 5 hour period on Saturday we spoke to hundreds of in Beverley. Voters from London to Leeds told us in equal numbers that they were for and against our continued EU membership.”

He went on,

“Our aims are to inform and persuade. What was also startling were the numbers of people who have yet to make their minds up. People were asking questions on a whole range of policy issues.”

“We also dealt with a number of queries on process. People were asking about the deadline for voter registration, which is June 7th and for requesting a postal vote which is June 8th.”

“We had a number of questions on eligibility so we’ve been were directing people to contact their Local Authority to check.”

“There’s still a lot to play for.”

  2. I bet he is voting in along with Commi Corbyn, hoping he is going to get an EU handout to build the Beverley to York railway line. The guy is clueless.
