Giant Syringe Is Coming Back To Swinemoor Estate Beverley

Former Addict Uses Giant Syringe To Reach Out To People in Beverley

I wonder if you have ever seen a giant syringe? I have; it was 33 ft long and 6 ft wide!! It was situated on the Swinemoor Estate in last July.

Well, if you didn’t see it you have a second chance to see it on its return to Beverley during the weekend 20-22 May.

Why is it coming to Beverley again, what is the point of it? The answer is the syringe is the brainchild of John Edwards, former alcoholic and drug addict who nearly died because of his addictions.

He also knows what it means to be homeless and friendless. His life was transformed through the power of Jesus Christ when, after many years of being an agnostic, he committed his life to Jesus, not only was he healed of his addictions but his life was turned around and he was able to get married and join a church which nurtured and cared for him.

John wanted a way of sharing his story and helping people who are in a similar situation to what he was so that’s when he hit on the idea of having the syringe made, mounting it on a trailer and taking it all over the United Kingdom, sharing his story, helping and praying with people.

The syringe is coming back to Beverley at the invitation of which meets at the St John’s HQ in . There will be a public meeting at this venue at 7.30 pm on Saturday, 21 May when John will be sharing his story and at 10.30 am on Sunday, 22 he will be preaching.

The syringe will be sited on the Swinemoor Estate opposite the Humber Keel, on Friday afternoon, 20 May and on Saturday, 21 May from 10am to 4pm.

John would be very pleased to meet people and pray for you whether you have an addiction or not, so why not come along and meet John and his wife Trisha?

Jesus said “If the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed” John 8:36.

May John’s visit to the town see many people find freedom through the power of Jesus Christ.
