Woodmansey’s Primary School Raise Cash By Holding Bake Off

The children and parent/carers of Woodmansey Primary School raised £254 pounds by holding an Easter Bake Off, Easter Bonnet competition and Easter Fair.

Over 50 children and parents, grandparents and teachers entered the bake off competition which this year was judged by of Vanessa’s Delicatessen and Cafe, .

Keely Philips mum of two, won overall best entry and Ben Fletcher dad of two won best male category. Robert Thorpe and Sandi Draper both parents at the school won best taste and best decorated categories.

5 children from the school won a place at the bake off winners party kindly donated by Mega Fun, Beverley.

Winners received a voucher from the judge Vanessa of Vanessa’s Delicatessen and cafe, Beverley as well as vouchers donated by Lakeland, Beverley and Soccer Kings,Hull. Vanessa said ‘The standard was remarkable.There was a fantastic array of ideas. All showed tremendous effort. I’m overjoyed to judge such a super competition’.

Headteacher Evelyn Green added;

“Following the success of last year’s bake off the PTFA has arranged another great event that brings the school community together. We are already looking forward to our next event.”

The Easter Bake Off and bonnet were part of the Easter Fair held at the school and raised £254 for outdoor play equipment.
