Art Workshop Brings Bare Bones To Life In Beverley

There will be an art workshop at the Treasure House in on Saturday 9 April, to accompany a fascinating exhibition now on show in Beverley Art Gallery until 8 May.

Blue Tokay’s natural history exhibition called ‘Bare Bones’ highlights a wonderful selection of wild animal skeletons presented in life-like poses.

The creatures inspired artist and tutor Penny Barron to run a one-day workshop for artists and amateurs developing their skills. Participants will capture the movement and character of the skeletal forms on display, and use various media to add colour and texture.

The workshop is called ‘Bringing Bare Bones to Life’ and takes place on Saturday 9 April from 10am to 3pm at the Treasure House, Champney Road, Beverley, HU17 8HE. It costs £15 per person and is for adults and young aged 16 years and over.

Some drawing skill is needed and all art materials are provided. Participants can bring along their own lunch or use the Treasure House Coffee Lounge. Places can be booked at www.eastriding.gov.uk/events or by calling (01482) 392699.
