Beverley ARLC will play their first competitive fixture in the 40/20 cup this Saturday away to Norland Sharks.
It is an intriguing clash between these two sides who have not clashed since their days in the Hull & District League.
Pat Howdle’s men, with two pre-season friendlies under their belt, will welcome back Ryan Watkin and Sam Coleman from their Army commitments. Ben Naylor will return from his work commitments whilst captain Tom Radley has recovered from a back injury that kept him out of the Myton Warriors friendly.
Work commitments will deny the coaches of the services of Jack Howdle and Jake Hart-Fisher but on the plus side they look set to hand a debut to Alex Calvert formerly of London Academy and Loughborough Students.
They had hoped to add a further signing but paperwork is likely delay things for at least another week.
Kick-off is 2.30pm at Sirius Academy, Pickering Road.
