Muirhead Brace Earns Beverley All Three Points At Pocklington

Beverley Town Football Club remain seventh in the Humber Premier League after they beat local rivals Town 3-1 at Henry Thirsk Amenity Centre.

A hard working professional performance saw Beverley come away with the points after two goals in two minutes from in the latter part of the game.

Beverley started the stronger of the two sides and opened the scoring when Kegan Rose won the ball and chipped Pocklington ‘s keeper Alex Cutts.

while ahead in the game Beverley were forced to make a change when their talisman and club captain had to leave the field of play through injury.

Pocklington managed to get back in the game when Tom Reay found the back of the net to send the sides in all level at half time.

Starting the second period on the front foot Beverley clinched all three points when Craig Muirhead scored two quick fire goals double his tally for the season.

Beverley Town return to action next weekend as they host Goole United, a side struggling at the wrong of the table to the Norwood Recreation Ground.
