Apprenticeship Open Event To Be Hosted In Beverley

East Riding College

Are you aged 16 years or over and looking for an apprenticeship in and around the East Riding? Then let East Riding of Yorkshire Council’s and Skills Team boost your chances of getting your dream role.

The team is looking for suitably-motivated people who are interested in IT and/or web, business admin and customer service apprenticeships to come along and apply for vacancies at an open event to be held at the Employment and Skills Centre, in Lairgate, Beverley, on Wednesday, 10 February, 4.30-7pm. People attending will also be able to get tips and advice on applying for vacancies as well as having the opportunity to find out more about apprenticeships and how they work.

We currently have 13 apprenticeships on offer with local East Riding organisations, including customer service assistants, IT technicians (two roles), administrators (various roles), office manager and receptionists. Some of the companies that we already work with to deliver apprenticeship training include Grays & Co Estate Agents, Rent East Yorkshire, Solutech, a number of GP and medical practices, Redfish Group and a number of local retail outlets.

At the event you can also speak to the council about their in-house apprenticeship opportunities. Visit www.recruiteastriding.gov.uk to see what apprenticeships are currently on offer.

Councillor Jane Evison, cabinet portfolio holder for economic investment and tourism at East Riding of Yorkshire Council, said: “This open day is a great opportunity for local people who are looking for apprenticeships to come along and get more help with finding vacancies. We are also working with local employers who have apprentice vacancies now, so we’ll be keen to find candidates who are suitable to fill these posts on the day.”
