Mozart Symphony no. 29
The teenage Mozart’s dazzling Symphony no. 29 is his first mature masterpiece; Haydn liked his Symphony no. 44 so much that he wanted it played at his funeral.
Distinguished oboist Gareth Hulse is the soloist in Mozart’s effervescent concerto, the finest ever written for the instrument. Sumptuous string music from Grieg and Piazzolla adds spice to this sparkling programme.
