Work by Beverley artist Phil Entwistle has been selected from a record number of entries to appear alongside paintings by some of Britain’s leading figurative artists.
This year over 1,500 works were submitted to the exhibition. The Royal Society of British Artists Annual Exhibition will be on display at Mall Galleries from 17 March to 2 April 2016.
The Royal Society of British Artists hold an open submission exhibition in Central London each year.
Founded in 1823, the Royal Society of British Artists was originally set up to rival the Royal Academy.
Today the Society prides itself on exhibiting an eclectic mix of sculpture and paintings in all media.
Phil has been a professional artist since 2007. Another of his paintings is currently on display at the Treasure House, Beverley in the Open Exhibition which runs to 13 February.
