Hull & East Riding Institute for the Blind Voted Beverley Building Society Charity of the Month for December

HERIB is a UK registered charity which provides support for people with sight loss in Hull and the East Riding.

With more than 150 years of experience in providing specialist care and support in the community, the charity offers a wide range of services that meet the ever changing needs of local people with sight loss.

The charity currently supports more than 2,500 local people with a range of visual impairments and work closely in partnership with local authorities, other local charities and a variety of support groups to provide the most appropriate support to suit each individual’s specific needs.

HERIB charity representative Angela Gregory said:

“HERIB is a local charity that relies on the generosity and commitment of its service users, friends and supporters, which is why we would like to thank the members of Beverley Building Society who voted HERIB Charity of the Month for December 2015.”

“The donation received will help the charity continue to provide free, specialist support for children and adults who have sight loss through a wide range of services.”

“We tailor our support to each individual’s needs taking into account their unique requirements. Our trustees and staff have a wide range of knowledge, skills and experience that are vital to the delivery of our services to local people with sight loss.”
