Christmas Fair Raises £2,000 For Welfare Funds

team manager John Ireland expressed his gratitude of the more people than ever attended their annual Christmas fair.

With crowds of people flocking to Millers day centre almost £2000 was raised for the welfare funds.

Speaking about the event Mr Ireland said;

“Once again the event was really well supported – it just seems to get bigger and better every year.”

“The fantastic support we receive from not only the friends and family of those who attend our centres, but also from the general public is always great to see.”

“The money raised will benefit the welfare funds for Millers, Town View, New House and Worklink which is a great boost and I would like to thank everyone who helped make the event such a success.”

The ever popular fair featured a range of stalls selling items, including Christmas wreaths and table decorations.

Goods are on sale were produced by adults who attend the day centre as well as students who attend the council’s Worklink scheme.

The fair also featured stalls run by the neighbouring Town View and New House homes.

The money raised will go into the welfare funds for all the centres.
