This year the selectors awarded their First Prize to Carole Davidson from Anlaby for her painting ‘Harbourside’, while works by Gary Saunt and Mimi Claughton (both from Beverley) were both Highly Commended. All three will be presented with their prizes during the launch.

Dr Gerardine Mulcahy-Parker, curator of the Art Gallery, said:

“Once again, the standard of the entries we have received has been very high indeed this year, and I would like to thank everybody who has taken the time to enter. I hope that lots of people will want to come along to see the exhibition for themselves, and the very best of our local artists”.
