Beverley Face Big Ask As They Face Doncaster

Beverley RUFC will come face to face with their former boss Anthony Posa as the Beavers face a daunting trip down the motorway to play Doncaster Phoenix.

Former Beverley Head Coach Anthony Posa is at Phoenix now and knows the Beavers’ set up and players very well, so he will no doubt be imparting his knowledge to his players.

Phoenix were unbeaten in the last couple of seasons until they surprisingly went down 27 – 19 at Percy Park last Saturday.

Doncaster will certainly be hoping to return to winning ways this weekend against bottom of the table Beverley.

However, Beverley will approach the game in good heart after putting in a spirited performance in the drawn game with Driffield last Saturday.

For long spells in the match against Driffield, Beverley looked as they had done enough to win the game only to surrender and good half time lead.

Although they are under no illusion about the size of the task that they face in Doncaster, officials at the club say the players will be going all out to spoil the party for Phoenix.
