Beverley Literature Festival : More Events Still To Come

There are lots of great highlights still to come in the second week of the Beverley Literature Festival.

Local cricket enthusiasts can enjoy an afternoon with historian, journalist and former MCC player Richard Tomlinson in Beverley on Friday (9 October).

Richard will be talking about his new book, ‘Amazing Grace: the Man who was W.G’ at the at 1pm.

Music lovers and espicially fans of The Beatles should be at East Riding Theatre on Friday (9 October) at 3PM to hear the world’s foremost Beatles authority, Mark Lewisohn, introducing the first part of his definitive biography of the group.

Ten years in the making, Mark paints a vivid picture of their early period – the Liverpool and Hamburg years.

Budding writers can learn about The of Writing on Saturday (10 October) in two events both being held at East Riding Theatre.

At 11AM, three leading professionals from the publishing world and award-winning writer Stephen May will discuss what it takes to get a book published.

This is followed at 3PM by Stephen May and Ross Raisin who will discuss funding and paid opportunities for writers and the skills required to help develop a writing career whilst still paying the bills.
