Royal Standard Quiz Night Raises Cash For St Mary’s Church

A fundraiser for St Mary’s Church was held at the Royal Standard.

Several members of Hull City Ladies came down to help out and support the Quiz which raised £106 towards the restoration appeal.

A successful night was aided by prize donations from local business, Rolando’s, Tyler and Black and North Bar Tea Rooms along with 4 VIP season passes being donated by Hull City Ladies for their home games at Haworth Park.

Landlord Allen Slinger said;

“It was great of the girls to come down and help out, it was a good night supported by customers old and new for what is great cause.”

This week also marked 12 months since Mr. Slinger took over the Royal Standard.

Since his arrival the pub has undergone a major refit and he has introduced live music at weekend and regular Thursday night quiz.
